Meet a guide at a central location in Bangkok and then set out on foot toward Wat Traimit, home to an imposing golden Buddha statue. Next, continue into Chinatown’s fresh market, which overflows with food stalls, shops, and temples.
Snap a photo of the Chao Phraya River from Memorial Bridge. Then, visit the complex of Buddhist temples in Wat Pho before hopping into a colorful open-air tuk-tuk to the top of the Golden Mount, a man-made hill temple with panoramic views of the city. From there, take a canal boat from Phan Pa Klong to see the neighborhood life that unfolds at the edge of the water. Finish the day with a cool drink at a local hangout.
