Description

Departing from Edinburgh in the morning, we cross the Firth of Forth to the Tuilyies Standing Stones, reminiscent of Outlander’s time-travel markers. Next, we visit Culross, a 17th-century village featured as Claire’s herb garden and Cranesmuir Village in the series.

The tour continues to Doune Castle (Castle Leoch), with optional entry. This iconic stronghold also appeared in Game of Thrones and Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Passing Stirling Castle, we head to Linlithgow for lunch and an optional visit to Linlithgow Palace (Wentworth Prison), once a royal retreat.

Next, explore Blackness Castle (Fort William), nicknamed “the ship that never sailed” for its unique triangular shape. Depending on the season, visit Midhope Castle (Lallybroch) in summer for photos, or marvel at the Forth Bridges in winter, showcasing centuries of Scottish engineering.

Your Outlander tour concludes back in Edinburgh, where you can explore the city or relax with an Outlander binge.
