From Brasov: Hiking in Putna Vrancea Natural Park

Situated deep inside the Putna-Vrancea Natural Park, Tisitei Gorge is the perfect place to relax and charge your batteries.

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your accommodation in Brasov and driven 100 kilometers away, in the Putna Vrancea Natural Park, at the entrance to Tisitei Gorge.

Here, you will begin a three hour hike through the spectacular gorges carved by Tisita river. Take amazing photos of the rock formations, the local flora and fauna and who knows, if you are lucky, you can even see some chamois on the high cliffs.

You will walk along the river on easy trails and some wooden bridges.

No special equipment is needed. However, if weather is not the best, some areas might be slippery, so wear adequate shoes.

After about eight kilometers, you will reach the big tunnel. From here, it's the same way back to the entrance, so another two hours of hiking.

In the end, you will be taken back to Brasov.
