From Bled: Black Hole Kayaking

Your morning begins with a pickup from your Bled hotel, followed by an hour and half drive through the Slovenian countryside to the site of the mine. You’ll then hop aboard an old mining train and descend 15 minutes towards the entrance of the mine.

After a short hike you’ll reach the waters of the underground mine where you’ll get prepped with dry suits and outfitted in your kayak before rowing off into the darkness of a underground labyrinth. You’ll spend about four hours exploring the silent passageways and galleries by both foot and boat before returning to the light of day and back to your Bled hotel.

Kayaking through Slovenia’s “Black Hole” mine tunnels is not something you can do on your own. During this unique 8-hour excursion from Bled, your guide you will lead you through the abandoned tunnels with only headlamps to light your way. The tour is appropriate for beginner kayakers, and all necessary equipment is included. Plus, hotel pickup and drop-off adds extra convenience.

Pick-up / departure time can vary and can be anything from 6 AM until 8 AM, depending on the availability. All guests will be notified about exact time of departure one day before the tour.

A current valid passport or EU personal ID card is required on the day of travel (driving licence or any other means of id is not sufficient)
Bring warmer clothes, temperature in the mines is only around 10 degrees Celsius (long sleeves, pants & closed shoes recommended). Bring some extra clothes in your backpack for just in case.
