Four days orangutans adventure in Gunung Leuser

Summary

Hi,beautiful people, I’ll pick you up at your homestay and together we enter the beautiful world heritage of Gunung Leuser. Along the way we stop frequently to drink, eat some fruits and observe the beautiful Orangutans from a safe and respectful distance in their natural habitat, while I tell you everything you need to know about the fauna & flora. If we are lucky we are able to spot the Thomas leaf monkey, gibbons, macaques or other beautiful wildlife creatures. The next 4 days we visit different campsites. We serve you breakfast in the morning, lunch at noon and a lovely Indonesian dinner with multiple options to choose from. After dinner we sit together by candlelight, listen to the sounds of the jungle, play cards or talk. You sleep in a half open shelter surrounded by the sounds of the river and the jungle. On this tour you might also be able to see wild Sumatran elephants. the Last day we wake up late, swimming, sunbathing or just relaxing around the camp. Then it’s time to return to Bukit Lawang with 1,5 hours full of fun, by traditional tube-rafting, a very special and exciting way to finish your trekking adventure through the Sumatran jungle. Hope to see you soon

About operator:

My name is Fery Anwar. I am a tour guide born in Bukit Lawang. This cozy little town is at the border of Gunung Leusur national park. So I can proudly say that I grew up in the jungle. Follow me and I show you this beautiful piece of world heritage. The only place in the world where Orangutans still live wild and free. Give me a day and I'll give you an experience of a lifetime.
