Description: Taste some of Colombians most exotic tropical fruits and visit a flower growing farm where you get to know about the Silleteros parade, an annual flower festival and one of the most important cultural aspects of Medellin.Desfile de Silleteros is a unique parade where paisas, Antioquia natives, of all ages carry a wide variety of flower displays known as silletas on their back. Each year in the parade, participants range from children to adults and even the elderly as everyone is eager to show off one Colombia’s greatest attributes: its flowers. The flower arrangements for Desfile de Silleteros are made in the nearby pueblo of Santa Elena where they are entered in a competition of various categories.
