Summary

Our guides will pick you up at your accommodation at 2 PM. We’ll move farther away from the bustle of the city and hit the roads to a quiet rural village where we’ll see the locals go about their daily activities. Stop at a local village to pick up Khmer snacks and explore a Buddhist monastery. The journey continues with a delve deeper into a boat trip around the lake to see floating villages and get a taste for life ruled by monsoonal rains and water-based agriculture. On arrival, cruise around the stilted houses, floating markets and school as your guide explains the unique way in which the locals adapt to the vastly different seasons and how they sustain the community through fishing. In the end, you will enjoy relaxation and watch the sunset from the top deck for the best views of the lake whilst including the cold beverage on board.
