Despite priority access, crowding can be significant at the Vatican during peak season and this is beyond our control.
A tour representative will lead you inside the Vatican.

Before you go

There is a strict dress code at the Vatican. Shoulders and knees must be covered for both men and women.
Access to the Vatican is timed, late arrivals cannot be accommodated.
Comfortable walking shoes and a bottle of water are highly recommended-

Cancellation Policy

Tours depart rain or shine unless otherwise specified. All cancellations must be received in writing. Tours and passes will be refunded if cancelled more than 24 hours before the tour start time, however the following penalties apply: For tours entering the Vatican Museums and/or the Colosseum (venues where tickets are non-refundable) a penalty of $30 per person will be retained for each venue. No refunds will be made for cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or failure to arrive at the meeting point on time (no-show).

****Important**** Vatican entry is timed and will be facilitated by our tour leader. This confirmation WILL NOT grant access to the Vatican. You must arrive at the meeting point in order to be granted entry to the Vatican.

Please arrive 15 minutes before tour departure time in front of Via Sebastiano Veniero 19. Across the street from the Vatican Museums entrance you will see a staircase which leads down to Via Sebastiano Veniero. At the bottom of the stairs, turn right. Number 19 is a few steps ahead where an ItaliaTours representative will be waiting for you.

VATICAN DRESS CODE: Shoulders and knees must be covered for both men, women, and children. Short pants are permitted as long as the above requirements are met. No refunds will be given if entry is refused due to lack of appropriate dress. No knives, weapons, or sharp objects will be permitted inside.
