Family routes: Coria del Rio

The route starts by taking a short trip by train to the outskirts of Sevilla. From here it is a short ride on cycle lanes to the river Guadaira where you ride along riverside paths, down steam and southwards. This river has heards of free roaming horses and an abundance of bird life to see. The route then takes a westerly turn across farm lands using rural tracks until arriving at riverside hamlet where there is a landing for the ferry. A fun trip crossing the river Guadalquivir on the ferry brings you to Coria del Rio. Here you will finds riverside walks, parks to play in and great bars and restaurants.

Coria del Rio is a small town on the banks of the river Guadalquivir. Through its long history Corria has been visited by the Romans, the Vikings and the Japanese Court when it landed here in the 17th century. Small boats from this town have fished in the river for centuries and today some of these boats are still casting their nets. One of its most strange attractions is its ferry which carries pedestrians, cyclists and farmers alike across the river Guadalquivir.
