Express Colosseum Gladiators Gate & Arena Floor Semi-Private Tour

This was our second Liv Tours experience, and once again, it absolutely lived up to its fantastic reviews! Our guide, Fabio, was fantastic. His enthusiasm, knowledge and storytelling really brought the Colosseum to life — so much so that even our teenager, who has never shown much interest in history, was completely engaged throughout the tour! We’re a family of four and were incredibly lucky that nobody else booked into our time slot, so we ended up with a completely private tour. It made the experience even more enjoyable and allowed Fabio to tailor the tour perfectly to our family. Another huge highlight was gliding through every checkpoint without having to stand in any of the long lines — an absolute lifesaver, especially when travelling with teenagers! Fabio also took some wonderful family photos for us, which will be such a special keepsake from our time in Rome. We chose the Express Tour and found it to be the perfect length and pace for our family. It gave us an amazing experience without becoming overwhelming or too long. We would highly recommend Liv Tours and will definitely look them up again when we return to Rome!

We booked the LivTours Express Semi-Private Early Morning Colosseum Tour with Arena Access, and it was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip to Rome! Our guide, Elisabetta, was amazing. From the moment we met her and began waiting to enter, she started sharing fascinating details about the area, the Colosseum’s history, and its renovations. The early morning access was definitely worth it—when we entered the arena, there were only a handful of other people there, which made the experience even more special. Elisabetta is an archaeologist, and her depth of knowledge was incredible. Her English was also very good and she was very easy to understand. I learned so much from her throughout the tour. Her experience also made navigating security, entry, and the multiple checkpoints completely seamless, allowing us to simply enjoy the experience. This was by far my favorite part of our time in Rome. If you’re visiting the Colosseum, I highly recommend this tour—and if you’re fortunate enough to have Elisabetta as your guide, you’re in for a wonderful experience!

We booked Ancient Rome our tour through our travel agent. The tour was amazing, and Debby, you made it come to life for us! We started at the Colosseum and then moved to the forum etc..
