Essential Dutch Private Day Trip: Zaanse Schans & Surroundings

Step away from the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam’s busy streets for a private day trip full of classic Dutch architecture and views as you take a trip to Zaandijk, Edam, Volendam, and Marken. Traveling by private car, you’ll first journey to Zaandijk to see beautiful merchants’ houses and old public buildings. Close to town, stop in at an old weaver’s house to learn about the ancient art of sail-making. And then it’s time for a real Dutch must-see, as you visit a classic windmill and take a look inside to watch the restored grinding stones creating aromatic spices.
