Walk with us from the City of London, where he lived and is remembered in the parish church of St Helens, and follow his steps as he made his way to Southwark across the Old London Bridge - where you'll learn how the bridge affected the river and why it was here that Londoners headed to for tax-free shopping!

Once in Southwark, we will join the throngs of undesirables who weren’t allowed into the City.
