Explore Toulouse's largest covered market with a local foodie! We've learned the secrets of French market shopping so that we can share them with you. On this tour, you'll get a taste of local life in Toulouse as you discover local wines and cheeses, learn how to spot a good baguette, sample unique local specialties, and encounter passionate local artisans and businesses.

You'll soon be eating your way through market staples like chocolatines (not pain au chocolat!), traditional baguettes, the only farm-to-counter foie gras in the market, cheese from a fromager-affineur (and learning what those words mean!), some of the best charcuterie in Toulouse, and more.

Some items we'll taste immediately, but others go into our market basket for our final destination: a specially-reserved "tonneau" at a wine seller in the market, where we'll pair our finds with local wines made from obscure grape varieties. We finish on a sweet note with some locally-produced dessert. No need for lunch afterwards!

Along the way, you’ll learn about food and market history, get tips for finding the best products, cultural lessons (French toasting etiquette, anyone?), and context for what you’re tasting. Cancellation

Cancellation Cutoff: 24 hours

If Guest chooses to cancel his or her reservation, Operator must receive written notice of said cancellation in writing via certified mail, fax or e-mail sent to info@ophorus.com (with confirmation of receipt from Operator), and Guest shall be subject to the following cancellation fee schedule: Ophorus requires full payment by credit card, internet payment (through our website) or wire transfer (Wire transfer fees at the charge of the Guest) to make a reservation. We accept payment by AMEX, Visa and Master Card. There is no charge or service fee for processing credit card payments except with American Express +3%. For any cancellation, the following fees will be deducted from the refund: > Up to 24 hours prior to departure: no cancellation fees except the booking fees. > 24 hours prior to departure and less > no refund All semi private tours depart on time. Clients should present themselves at the allocated meeting point at least 10 minutes before the beginning of the tour. Driver/guide will not wait unless Ophorus has been previously informed that the client will be late with a maximum waiting time of 10 minutes. Beyond that waiting time, tours will depart and Ophorus cannot be held responsible for clients missing their tour.
