We begin our tour in the city of Nice, driving along the infamous "Promenade des Anglais” which became famous during la Belle époque at the end of the 18th century. English and Russian Aristocrats visited the city because of the moderate climate and the beautiful landscapes. We pass the harbor and discover the city from the hill Mont Boron, where Elton John has a residence. We then drive along the "moyenne corniche" and enjoy the panorama over Cap-Ferrat until Eze.
We then continue on the "moyenne corniche" down to the old town of Monaco, where you will discover the second smallest country in the world with just 3 square kilometers. We will visit the cathedral where Grace Kelly married Prince Rainiero. We will also see the Oceanographic Museum whose president was the legendary Jacques-Yves Cousteau and, finally, the Palace of the Grimaldi family. From there we head to Monte Carlo, the capital of the rich and famous, where we will walk around the Casino Square surrounded by the Café de Paris and the famous Hotel de Paris. We can admire the most expensive cars and the peculiar visitors of the Casino.
Finally we will go to Eze. This tiny village is what some call an eagle's nest as the village is embedded in the top of a hill at 427 meters above sea level. This town has been the favorite place for some artists like Bono from U2 and Nietzsche, who spent time in Eze writing part of his book, "Thus spoke Saratustra." One of the restaurants in the village, "La chevre d'or," has been the scene for several films, including the "Bucket List." You will also have the opportunity to walk into an authentic medieval village with its shops and a botanical garden, where the old fort was located.
