Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden Tour

Following pickup at your Rio de Janeiro hotel, travel to the Botanical Garden, located at the base of Corcovado Mountain.

Follow your guide into the 346-acre (140-hectare) park, heading straight to highlights such as the Avenue of Royal Palms, Lago Frei Leandro pond, and a greenhouse containing more than 500 types of orchids—a world-famous collection.

After your 90-minute guided tour, spend some free time wandering at your leisure. Check out the onsite Museu do Meio Ambiente, the botany library, or the gift shop.

At the conclusion of your tour, get dropped off at your hotel.

Spend an idyllic tour at the world-famous Rio de Janeiro Botanical Garden, or Jardim Botânico. On this guided tour of the sprawling UNESCO biosphere reserve, amble down the Avenue of the Royal Palms, and stroll past trees and plant life from around the world, including gigantic water lilies from the Amazon. Learn the garden’s history and glimpse wildlife such as monkeys and toucans along the way. Then enjoy free time to wander the grounds on your own before taking transport back to Rio hotels.
