After booking, ask your private driver-guide to provide a pre-arranged itinerary, and let them know if you wish to customize it around your personal tastes.
As your tour is private, you are free to adjust the itinerary or create one of your own, perhaps with a visit to one or more wineries of your choice. You may also opt to add other culinary stops, such as visits to chocolatiers, microbreweries or dairies.
On the day, leave your Tel Aviv hotel by private, air-conditioned vehicle, and admire the scenery as you journey into Israel’s picturesque central region.
As you travel, learn about the area’s rich and long winemaking heritage. Wine has been commercial commodity here since ancient times, and areas such as Carmel and the Judean Mountains, riven by deep valleys, have been prime winemaking centers for more than 3,000 years. Today, the tradition continues, and the area produces some of Israel’s most acclaimed wines.
If you’re following the recommended itinerary, soak up the scenery and spend the day visiting several boutique wineries, each known for producing distinctive, high quality wines. View the production areas and vineyards, and learn about each estate’s unique philosophy and style of wines from the informative winery host.
Finish your visit to each winery with a wine tasting. Sample a number of interesting wines, swap notes on their flavors and aromas, and perhaps purchase some of your favorite varieties (own expense).
Finally, after exploring the wineries, drive back to Tel Aviv, where your tour finishes with a hotel drop-off.
