Private Mindo Cloud Forest Tour from Quito

Your tour begins with pickup from your Quito hotel in time for an 8am departure. Traveling by private vehicle, set out on the around 2-hour journey to the Mindo Valley, the meeting point of the Chocoan lowlands and the tropical Andes.

On arrival, follow your guide on a thrilling hike through the cloud forest, stopping to admire the views and learn more about the region’s unique geology. Along the way, look out for wildlife including tropical birds and butterflies, and colorful wild orchids.

Return to Quito around 4pm, where your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel.

The Ecuador cloud forest is one of the top ten biodiversity hotspots on earth and a dream come true for bird and nature lovers. Countless different species of hummingbirds, other birds, and orchids thrive in this amazing ecosystem. Visitors to the Mindo-Nambillo Ecological Reserve can hike, try trappelling, go tubing or ride a mountain bike on one of the many great trails available through the reserve.
