Description

Step into London’s historic pub scene on a private walking tour designed for a more personal and relaxed experience. Visit four centuries-old pubs tucked into the city’s hidden corners, each with its own fascinating stories—from royal connections to literary legends and infamous tales of Fleet Street. With a dedicated guide, enjoy a deeper connection to London’s food and drink culture as each stop pairs traditional dishes with local beers and ciders. Taste classics like pork pies, sausage rolls, and devilled whitebait while learning the stories behind them. The private format allows for a smoother pace, easier conversation, and a more immersive atmosphere—perfect for couples, families, or small groups looking to experience London’s pub culture without the crowds. End the evening with a traditional pub game and a newfound appreciation for one of the city’s most beloved traditions.

Begin the evening in a pub that has welcomed guests for over 500 years, where centuries of history linger in every corner. With a private guide leading the way, enjoy a more intimate introduction to London’s pub culture while sampling a classic pork pie paired with ale.

Continue to a historic Fleet Street pub designed by the same architect as St. Paul’s Cathedral. A refreshing cider and a freshly baked sausage roll are served as the guide shares tales that bring this famous street to life.

Step further back in time at a pub rebuilt after the Great Fire of London in 1666. Once frequented by literary greats like Charles Dickens, it offers a rare glimpse into the city’s past. Enjoy devilled whitebait with a drink, recreating a pairing that has been served here for generations, all while benefiting from the relaxed pace of a private tour.

The final stop introduces you to a traditional pub game, which you'll play while sipping a local ale paired with a scotch egg. By the end of your tour, you'll have the confidence to navigate British pub culture on your own. Plus, thanks to the private tour format, you'll have had meaningful interaction with your local guide, making it an ideal way to explore London’s pub heritage and get advice for the rest of your trip.
