On the east side of the island, stop at Barra da Lagoa, where you can view the canal that connects the ocean to the lagoon. At Joaquina Beach, you can get a lesson in making your own sand board.
Upon arrival on the island's south side, take a walk to Matadeiro and Armação Beach, where you'll see the water speckled by the boats of local fisherman. Here, you'll take a break for lunch (own expense) before drop-off back at your accommodations.
