Your tour begins with pickup from your central Cuenca hotel in time for a 9am departure. Traveling in the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle, head downtown to explore the grand plazas, beautiful parks, and historic landmarks of the colonial center.
Along the way, visit San Sebastián Plaza, Cruz del Vado, and Condamine; see landmarks such as the Modern Art Museum, the Palacio de Justicia, the Catedral Inmaculada Concepción (New Cathedral), and the Catedral El Sagrario (Old Cathedral); and stroll around Parque Calderón and Parque de las Flores.
Spend time browsing the stalls at the Mercado 10 de Agosto and Mercado de San Francisco, before stopping for lunch (own expense) at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit a Paja Toquilla hat manufacturer to learn more about the region’s famous handicrafts, then take in the views from the Mirador de Turi and drive along the scenic Barranco Route.
Finally, choose to visit the Central Bank Museum, the Concepta Museum or the Aboriginal Cultures Museum (entrance fees not included).
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel around 5pm.
