Join our staff of local captains, experienced watermen, marine biologists, and underwater photographers as we introduce you to the wildlife of Mo'orea's pristine lagoon, reef, and pelagic ecosystems. This tour focuses primarily on SHARKS!
You will begin your day with a briefing from your guide on the biology, behavior, cultural significance, and importance of sharks in our local ecosystem. You will be introduced up close and personal to the blacktip reef sharks and pink whipray stingrays of the infamous sandbar within the lagoon. You will then venture out the pass to the outer reefs where blacktip reef sharks, grey sharks, lemon sharks, and white tip reef sharks aggregate in crystal clear blue waters. You will visit the bay where nurse sharks gather in the shallows and depending on weather allowance, head offshore to a FAD (fish aggregating device) buoy where larger pelagic shark species such as the oceanic white tip and silky shark frequent.
With a 100% safety record, we pride ourselves on providing you with trained, experienced guides to introduce you to the world of sharks in a peaceful and awe-inspiring way. Not just a thrilling experience but also an educational one!
