Summary Description

You will be welcomed into the family and encouraged to participate in the preparation of each of the dishes, which include chopping vegetables, preparing the fish, coconut grating & milking.

Once the cooking is complete the table will be set to enjoy a freshly cooked meal with members of the family. Around the table you can share your thoughts about the cooking process, learn more about the Maldives or you could learn some useful words that you can use during the remainder of your holiday.

Additional Information

A maximum of 6 people per booking. Operates in all weather conditions. Please dress appropriately, The Maldives is a Muslim country therefore we would request female guests to dress with modesty in mind. For cruise ship passengers: at time of booking, passengers must provide the following information at time of booking: ship name & docking time. Not wheelchair accessible. Safety has always been important to our business, this is why our guides are Emergency First Responders & Life Guard Certified. We offer safe travel and hygiene standards as required by the World Travel and Tourism Council.

Dress Code: Loose lightweight clothing, sunglasses, sun hat, comfortable shoes for walking tours. We would request female guests to dress with modesty (shorts/skirts/dresses should at the very least covering the upper thigh and shoulders/chests should be covered) when visiting local islands including Male and during Taste of Local where we will be visiting the local community and the home of a local family. Should you wish to enter the mosques particularly on the Male City Walking tour long trousers are required by both male and female guests.

Redemption Information

• Comfortable walking shoes are recommended
• A dress code is required to enter the grounds of the mosques. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
• For cruise passengers: If you have not already specified, you MUST advise supplier as soon as possible your Ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and departure time so that appropriate arrangements can be made
