Visit Izamal and Valladolid
Through the streets, parks, and facades of Izamal and Valladolid, experience the origins of the recent history of the Maya and contemporary Yucatecan society. We begin our tour with a panoramic visit in the beautiful colonial city of Valladolid where you can appreciate its neighborhoods of great majesty and beauty and its set of civil and religious architecture such as the convent of San Bernardino and the Cathedral of San Gervasio.
After the tour, free time will be offered so you can visit any of these sites on your own. To continue this experience, we go to a buffet restaurant, where in addition to enjoying delicious Yucatecan food, you can cool off at the cenote where you can go for a swim. Cenotes are mysterious and magical deepwater wells of great depth.
The final point of our tour will be Izamal, a magic town that will receive you with its beautiful yellow-painted houses, a tradition that has been maintained since the papal visit of St. John Paul II.
Discover why this city is called the city of the three cultures, admire its pyramids, visit and admire the Franciscan convent that is an indelible mark of Spanish influence, and its inhabitants, people proud of their culture, kind and gentle.
This activity is a unique experience that will help you to understand the past and the present of the Mayan world visiting Valladolid, a beautiful colonial city, a refreshing Cenote and Izamal, a picturesque village with archaeological pyramids.
