Meet your guide at the West Coast Wilderness Railway Station on Drifield Street in central Queenstown, and soak up the scenery on the bus journey to Newell Creek, the starting point for your rafting tour.
After a safety briefing, get suited up in your wetsuit, life jacket and helmet, and learn the basic maneuvers under the guidance of your instructor before heading out. Then, set out on a thrilling white water rafting adventure, cruising through the wild terrain of the King River Gorge.
Work together with your team to paddle downstream, tackle the hair-raising rapids and navigate rocky outcrops. Along the way, soak up the magnificent scenery as you pass through lush Tasmanian rainforest and Huon Pine forests, look out for native wildlife such as platypus, as you cross the Garfield River and Sailor Jack Creek.
Back on dry land, get ready for the second part of your adventure – a ride on the famous West Coast Wilderness Railway. After being driven to the remote Dubbil Barril railway station, hop aboard a traditional steam train and admire the spectacular scenery as you climb through the rugged gorge.
After an unforgettable journey, arrive back in Queenstown, where your tour ends at the West Coast Wilderness Railway Station.
