      Toggle FAQ

All activities depart from Blu Fin Bungalows & Marina. The address is 2477 Main St, Chincoteague Island, VA 23336.

      Is parking available?

      Toggle FAQ

Yes, parking is available at the marina.

      How long are rentals?

      Toggle FAQ

Kayak & SUPs can be rented for 1 or 2 hours. Jet Skis can be rented for one hour. Skiff and pontoon boat rentals are either 4 or 8 hours. The ultimate party pontoon rental is only available for an 8-hour rental and starts at 10 am. Skiffs and Pontoons are also available for 2-hour sunset cruises.

      Is gratuity included?

      Toggle FAQ

Gratuity is not included with the cost of your trip. We ask everyone to please remember that our captains and mates are in the service industry and rely heavily on gratuity. We recommend a gratuity of 20% or more. If your captain and mate helped you to have a great trip, be sure to thank them!

      What are your prices?

      Toggle FAQ

Prices for activities can vary. Live pricing is available when you click book now!

      Do I need a waiver?

      Toggle FAQ

Yes all activities will require a waiver. We also require a predeparture checklist and DNREC form completed before your trip.

Do I need a boater's license to rent a jet ski or boat?

      Toggle FAQ

The Virginia General Assembly passed a bill in 2007 that requires all boaters to complete a state-approved boaters education course. If you meet this requirement, please bring proof of completion. If you have not completed an approved course, in compliance with this bill as a rental operator, our agreement between the renter and Sea Rocket Ticketing Services, LLC allows us to provide a brief safety overview & questionnaire upon arrival that will cover this requirement for the duration of your rental.

Do I need to wear a life jacket on my trip?

      Toggle FAQ

State law requires you to wear a life jacket on any PWC (Jet Ski). On boats, all children 12 and under are required to wear a life jacket.

How many passengers can we have?

      Toggle FAQ

We allow one driver and one passenger per Jet Ski. Skiff rentals accommodate up to 4 people. Pontoons accommodate up to 10 people.

      Is there a weight limit?

      Toggle FAQ

Yes, there is a combined weight limit of 375lbs per jet ski. We reserve the right to make judgment calls based on passenger weight. This is for your safety!

Putting two larger adult customers on the jet ski together increases the chance of capsizing the jet ski. Capsizing the ski causes the rider to fall off and can also sink and/or damage the vessel which is ultimately the renter’s responsibility. Safety is our #1 priority!

Do you have to have boating experience?

      Toggle FAQ

We strongly recommend having some boating experience. If you don’t have experience, we will teach you everything you need to know in order to safely operate the vessel. We have a thorough checkout procedure that covers vessel operation, rules of the water, and emergency procedures. Your safety and enjoyment are our #1 priority!

Can we bring drinks and food?

      Toggle FAQ

Drinks and food are allowed on all boats.

For private party cruises, there is plenty of room for a cooler! Our employees will be happy to help you load your items on the vessel. ***Please note: Vessel operation under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is STRICTLY PROHIBITED***NO GLASS

How old do you have to be to operate a jet ski?

      Toggle FAQ

To operate a jet ski, you must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license.

Can we share a jet ski with others in our group/family?

      Toggle FAQ

No, there is no taking turns or sharing.

What if we damage the jet ski?

      Toggle FAQ

If a renter damages a jet ski they are fully responsible (just like a rental car). With that being said, we go over all the rules and necessary operating procedures before you hit the water.

What if it is a really windy & rough day on the water, do you still rent jet skis?

      Toggle FAQ

Yes, we still rent jet skis, however, we don’t recommend taking out younger kids as passengers when it is rough. As driver/operator, you’ll have a great time…it will just be a bit wet. Also, we don’t allow two adults (full-grown) on the ski at the same time on a “modified day.” Single riders and light doubles only! This minimizes the possibility of capsizing the vessel. Safety is our #1 priority!
