Experience the glory of Versailles after the crowds have left with this tour of the palace and its grounds. After being transported from Paris to Versailles, you'll get to tour the gargantuan landscaped gardens that surround the palace. You’ll then enter the palace, where your guide will show you some of the most important rooms, including the stunning Hall of Mirrors. You'll then ride back to Paris just in time for dinner.
Most tours visit the Palace of Versailles before the outdoor shows begin. Flip the order, visiting the Palace at the last entry time, after the crowds have left, to skip the lines for a much more peaceful visit. You’ll also enjoy a guided tour of the Palace Gardens and access to the Gardens or Fountains Show.
Once you are in Versailles with your group, you’ll go straight to the Palace of Versailles, entering through the little-visited Queen’s Gate for greater ease.
With your guide leading the way you’ll enjoy a tour of the Palace Gardens, designed by the extravagant Sun King, before the show begins. Depending on the day you’ll see either the Fountains Show, where the beautiful fountains come to life to music or the musical Gardens Show.
Most of the crowds leave after this, which is the cue to enter. Availing of the last entrance time at The Palace of Versailles, you’ll find the palace a lot quieter than other times of the day. Together you’ll visit the incredible gilded palace chapel, the King and Queen’s private apartments and of course, the phenomenal function rooms including the iconic Hall of Mirrors. As you walk your guide will bring the palace to life with stories of courtly intrigue and royal plots, while also giving you insight into the everyday lives of the people who lived here.
