During this trip we will visit Armenian Alphabet Monument, built in 2005, Hovhannavank monastery (the 13rd century), Saghmosavank monastic complex (13th century), a significant pilgrimage site of Medieval Armenia St.Gevorg monastery of Mughni.
- Armenian Alphabet Monument was built in 2005, to the 1600 anniversary of creation of the Armenian alphabet. The Monument includes all the 39 letters of Armenian alphabet, statue of the 12th-century Armenian scholar Mkhitar Gosh. 33 meter- tall Holy Cross, constructed of small crosses, is located on a hill just beyond the Armenian Alphabet Monument.
- St.Gevorg monastery of Mughni was a significant pilgrimage site in medieval Armenia. Supposedly, it was founded in the first half of the 13th century.
- Hovhannavank monastery (the 13rd century) stands on the edge of Kasagh River canyon. The monastery walls are covered with rich lapidary inscriptions.
- Saghmosavank monastic complex (13th century) is situated atop a deep gorge. The main church is adjacent to the scriptorium, where many manuscripts have been produced during centuries. Saghmosavank underwent the devastating influence of the earthquake in 1988. The reconstruction completed in 2000.
