1-Day Dinosaur Tour in Kunming

In the morning, your driver and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel (within the second ring road of Kunming) then drive you to the World Dinosaur Valley (1.5 hour drive). Feel like you enter a safe Jurassic Park, as you visit the biggest, most complete and oldest dinosaur valley in China. Since 1938, about 150 complete dinosaur skeletons were unearthed in Lufeng County, and now more than 60 complete dinosaur fossils are on display, dating from the Jurassic period. You can also see the excavation sites and modern dinosaur replicas.

After lunch we will drive back to Kunming and visit the Jing Xing Bird and Flower Market, which reflects the Old Kunming way of life, with a lot of people selling flowers, birds, fish, insects bamboo bongs and pipes. Sometime you can even see old people “Liu Niao” which means they take their bird cages out for a walk in the park.
