Dubrovnik Guided Group Tour with Ston Oyster Tasting

We had previously done another trip with Gray Line which was brilliant, so we were hoping for the same. Unfortunately it did not start this way. The pick up was extremely unorganised and there was a massive lack of communication. We were taken by a driver from Trogir to Split to join the rest of the trip for an onwards journey to Dubrovnik. We were dropped off and told to 'just walk down there' and pointed. The drive appeared to be flustered and running behind for his day despite it being 6am! When we managed to find a group of people by a restaurant who turned out to be the rest of our tour group, they were mixed in with other tours and it was just chaos. Lots of names being shouted but no one knew what for and we were all mixed up. Once someone finally said Dubrovnik we managed to work it out ourselves but the lack of direction and organisation was extremely poor to start the day. The journey and tour of Dubrovnik however was much better. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and explained everything well. He did a good job finding the shady spots to explain what we were looking at, and had plenty of interesting facts. Come the journey home we did stop at the Oyster tasting restaurant as there was enough interest which is a quaint little spot by the farm - nice extra touch. Then the confusion started again, dropping people of in Split, going around a corner, picking random people up, then more, then dropping others off along the way, and no explanation to really know what was going on. Our ticket stated we would be dropped off where we were picked up in the same location so we were just waiting for where we recognised, except he drove past the turning, and went a good few more minutes up the road before stopping on the side of the road and saying we all needed to get off here and walk back. We do feel for the drivers as it was a timely journey for a single person driving. The tour is great, Dubrovnik is worth the visit, be prepared for it to be busy and the day is long.

An early start and long day but totally worth it. Laura was a good guide explaining the history as we did the walking tour and keeping us well informed of where we needed to be and when. A good day out.

The tour was great. It’s a long one but it was worth it. Dubrovnik is a must see and do. Our guide Laura is very friendly and knowledgeable. She made the tour fun. Our driver whose name I forgot was a trooper driving all over for 13+ hours and still had a smile and wishes for a good evening at the end of the day.

Horrible pickup experience. Imprecise instructions sent at the last minute on WhatsApp, no follow-up on the day of. The driver, who seems to be alone on board, does not have the information from the WhatsApp; in short, he left without us even though we were 7 minutes early at the meeting point. I strongly advise against it! We were counting on this excursion for our last day in Croatia... it's ruined! Unprofessional contact on WhatsApp, forget about politeness or proper form, you will only get orders. As for the rest, I don't know what the tour is worth, but actually getting to take it seems to be a privilege.

Unique and magnificent city. Full of images in my head and on my phone. Beautiful scenery on the road from Split. Not to mention the magnificent guide Laura for her explanations and her kindness 🤩
