Why take this tour?

This walking tour includes sightseeing through the Old Town of Dubrovnik where there are material traces of the restoration of the city after the Homeland War (1991/1995). It provides the brief introduction to the history of Croatian war for the independence which was a part of Yugoslavia break up. Dubrovnik became the front line of this war in 1991 and for almost 8 months the town was besieged and constantly bombed. On a request it can include a cable car ride to the Mountain Srđ over the city and a visit to the Homeland War Museum situated in the Fort Imperial on the top of the mountain. The additional attraction will be a fantastic panoramic view over the city and the surrounding area. Furthermore the tour is lead by a guide who has been in the city during the siege.
