Brú na Bóinne is unmissable
We really enjoyed Matt as our driver-guide; he is very personable and his commentary relayed a lot of information in an engaging manner. Brú na Bóinne is an impressive site; it's incredible to imagine neolithic peoples 5000 years ago put these together with the primitive stone tools they had, predating even Stonehenge. The OPW have organised the monuments and exhibits well. I just wish the visitor centre had a replica of Knowth's east passage tomb instead of Newgrange (which you already get to enter). From an itinerary perspective, I would have swapped out the rather unimpressive Monasterboice which isn't particularly impressive for the Hill of Tara.
Ancient Ireland
Matt was phenomenal. Really enjoyed his commentary. He has a great grasp of history and can explain things well. The trip was not for folks with mobility issues but I managed to do what I could. Everyone was accommodating.
