Can’t believe I almost bailed on this!
Wow!! I am so glad I didn’t listen to my inner sloth who wanted to just catch up on sleep. This was an amazing tour, with brilliant storytelling, history, folklore and more!! There was something that made me laugh about every 2 minutes, and it didn’t seem like overly scripted or rehearsed humour either. Our tour guide, Alan, was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and clearly loved everything about the subjects he was telling us about. It really captivated!! What made this tour especially poignant was that there were stories of wonderful, normal(ish), recent characters in the tour. It made current day Dublin/ Ireland feel that extra bit more fantastical. If you are in two minds about doing this tour, trust me… BOOK IT!!!

Lee was a great guide and gave us a wonderful journey through the myths and folklore of Dublin. If history is the black and white facts, than a people's myths are the bright colors that help complete the picture. Lee was a wonderful artist.
