"Inntinnich agus craic mhath" - Great Tour! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
Fiona, our Irish guide, spoke fluent German and gave us a truly personal tour. She mentioned that running a bus is extremely expensive, and even though there were only 5 - 8 of us on board, you would never have known it from the effort she put in. She explained everything brilliantly and tried to include every single person. She even brought printed pictures in a little booklet, and her care and love for detail really showed in how she brought Dublin closer to us. She also taught us some Gaelic, like "craic agus ceol", which you see written at some Irish bars, and shared fascinating facts, such as how Dublin got its name and that the police here still don't carry firearms. We all ended up staying on for the complete loop because it was so enjoyable. And when it started pouring rain, very Irish of course, we were sitting comfortably and dry on the bus. After 9 days of travelling through the UK, Northern Ireland and Ireland, I originally only booked this tour to get quickly and easily to all the sights on my last day in Dublin as my flight was in the evening. It was all the more wonderful to end up in a friendly small group. I didn't even expect to land in a German-language tour! Unfortunately I had no cash on me, as I usually tip on tours like this, so this review is my way of hopefully supporting the crew. That includes of course also the bus driver, who masterfully handled the tight turn from (I think) St. Luke's Avenue onto Brabazon Street!? Thank you so much for the great tour and all the interesting insights. Since the season is now officially over, I wish you guys a lovely, well-deserved break and continued success to the whole team!
