Summary

Make your way to the central Venice meeting point, where you'll hop aboard a comfortable minivan with your small group of just eight people. With your driver/guide at the wheel, you'll be able to appreciate the scenery on the way out of the ancient city and into the Northern Italian countryside. Arrive at the chic ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo, where you'll have some free time to explore the village, a favorite vacation spot for wealthy Italians. Move on to Lake Misurina, known as one of the most beautiful lakes in the area, where you'll stop for scenic views and photo ops. Take in the views of the dramatic peaks in the distance, called the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Pause at a traditional Italian trattoria for lunch (own expense), followed by a self-guided stroll on some gentle mountain paths. After a long day of exploring, enjoy not having to read road signs in Italian and simply settle into your seat on the trip back to Venice for drop-off. Please note: From November 15th until Tre Cime di Lavaredo reopens (around the third week of May) this tour will visit Braies Lake and San Candido, located on the border of Austria) instead of Lake Misurina and Tre Cime di Lavaredo. From November 23rd to January 6th you'll also visit the San Candido Christmas Market.
