Sentosa - The State of Fun...over a hundred years ago, this island was where the pirates used to hide out and it was known as the Pulau Blakang Mati - the island where death lurks behind. At one time, it was a British military fortress and after the Japanese Occupation in WWII, the island was renamed "Sentosa" - the island of peace and tranquility. Sentosa has converted over the course of its notable history into a beloved island resort, best known for its tropical beaches, luxurious restaurants and exciting sights. Please take note: From 8th February 2020 to 6th March 2020, the operating hours for Universal Studios Singapore and S.E.A. Aquarium will be from 10am to 6pm daily.
