Dhorpatan Trek which leads to only Hunting Reserve of Nepal; Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve is only 15 days away from the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. It is also one of the few hunting reserves of the world. Established in 1987 it adjoins Baglung, Rukum and Myagdi with an area of 1325 square km. Passing through rhododendron and oak forest you will have magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Gurja Himal, Churen Himal and Putha Hiunchuli. Musk Deer, Red Panda, Wolf, Himalayan Tahr, Blue Sheep etc are the popular animals of Dhorpatan. In a similar way, the common species of plants include Fir, Pine, Rhododendron, Hemlock, Juniper, Spruce etc. Some of the endangered species living in this area includes Snow Leopard, Red Panda, Musk Deer, Danphe (Lophoporus) etc.
