This 4-hour tour of Cusco and the Inca Empire’s sites starts with a hotel pickup by bus a little before 1:30pm. Please take note that the regular tour doesn’t include any entrance fees or access tickets. If you’d like to have that taken care of, please upgrade to the all-inclusive tour option — otherwise, you’ll have to pay entrance fees at the different sites.
The first stop of your tour is at Plaza de Armas. Follow your guide to an ancient Inca church, and hear stories about how the empire came to thrive. After, walk to Qorikancha, one of the most important temples to the Inca people. Admire the architecture of the temple, and take notice of a high altar made of bronze.
Keep trekking on foot over to Avenida El Sol, and hop on your bus for a short 20-minute ride just outside the city to Sacsayhuaman. Sacsayhuaman was the historic capital of the Inca Empire, and your guide tells you a lot about the empire's history here. Your last stops of the tour include the sites of Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay.
Travel back to your hotel by bus, and arrive there at about 5:30pm — just in time to make plans for dinner.
