Curacao Kayak and Snorkel Adventure

Make your way to Curacao's pier to meet your professional kayak guide for a safety briefing and basic paddling instruction. Climb into your double kayak and follow your guide from the pier out into the turquoise ocean and up along the coast of the island. Paddle across open water in beautiful Caracas Bay, then spend time boating through the coastline's protected waters. Pass landmarks like Ft Beekenberg, so named for Heer van Beek, who coordinated Willemstad's defense against the invading British fleets in 1703. Pull your kayak up on a deserted sand and coral-stone beach. Slip on the provided snorkel gear, including a mask, flippers and snorkel and dive in. Enjoy some of the best snorkeling on the island; the fact that these sites are difficult to reach means they are uncrowded and the plant and animal life is particularly vibrant. When you're finished exploring the underwater landscape, hop in your kayak for the paddle back to the pier.
