Explore the route of the historic Dalton Trail up through the Chilkat Pass and learn about Tlingit history in the region with a tour of the Haines Sheldon Museum and Jilkaat Kwaan Heritage Center

- Depart from the Port Chilkoot Cruise Ship Dock and Haines Visitor Center

- Visit Fort Seward, the U.S. Army base in Haines from 1903 to 1945

- Tour the Haines Sheldon Museum and its more than 4,000 artifacts

- Travel through the Bald Eagle Preserve, en route to Klukwan

- Learn the history of the Tlingit and their life on these lands at the Jilkaat Kwaan Heritage Center

- Climb the Chilkat Pass along the historic Dalton Trail and observe the parting of the glacier run-off waters flowing toward the Yukon and Alaska

- Enjoy lunch atop of the Chilkat Pass amongst the breathtaking views above the tree line in the alpine tundra

- Visit the Dalton Cache trading post built by Jack Dalton in the 1890’s Klondike Gold Rush

- Return to Haines, Alaska
