Day 1: HEAD TO THE MEDIEVAL CAPITAL- Polonnaruwa Polonnaruwa is a listed World Heritage site. Here you can see the ruins of the Royal Palace, the Gal Viharaya, and four statues of the Buddha in 'Upright', 'Sedentary' and 'Recumbent' postures carved out of rock. Polonnaruwa is laid out over a large distance, therefore the best way to explore the area is by bicycle which we will do a guided tour. If you prefer not to bike, it is possible to take the guided tour in the private vehicle. DAY 2 - LETS TRAVEL TO UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE -Anuradhapura There are many sacred Buddhist places such as Jaya Sri Maha Bodhiya, Ruwanmeli Maha seya located in this district. Ruwanveliseya, Abhayagiriya and Jetavanaramaya, stand as the largest manmade brick structures in the world. The Brazen Palace, Twin Ponds, Samadhi Buddha Statue, Isurumuniya temple with finest rock carvings in the country, The Moonstone, The Guard stones and Thuparama and Lankaramaya Dagobas are the other important attractions that you cover during this city tour. DAY 3 - TODAY THE ADVENTURE REALLY BEGINS! - Sigiriya's Lion Rock An early wake up time today we put on our hiking shoes, grab our camera and head out to climb the incredible Sigiriya Rock. The views from the top are unrivalled as you travel through time examining the ruins. After descending we then head over to the quiet Buddhist monastery of Pidurangula to get an open and unobstructed shot of the rock you have just climbed. From here you can view the national parks of Minneriya and Kaudulla where elephants and leopards patrol the land and where you have the option to go explore in the afternoon. Hiriwadunna Village Tour So, its lifetime opportunity to be emerged in the nature and culture of real Sri Lanka. Village tours operate in the Small Village Called Hiriwadunna, only about a few miles from the Habarana Town. You need to consult one of the Village Safari operators to arrange your Village Tour. Complete package includes a Bullock cart ride, Boat Ride, visit a Village House, see a local Vegetable garden, have a local lunch and Take a Tuk-Tuk Ride. DAY 4– IT'S TIME FOR THE BEACH! – Kalpitiya Kalpitiya is famous as the best destination to spot Dolphins. Dolphins are commonly been spotted in Kalpitiya Sea as large herd. There are several beautiful hotels and rest house to stay overnight at Kalpitiya and from there you could arrange the boats to do a sea tour to visit this friendly mammals. Usually boats are leaving from 6 am to do dolphin watching and up to 6 pax could be accommodated per boat. When you travel towards the deep sea, you can witness the large herds of Dolphins covering and passing by your boat. DAY 5 – SAY GOOD BYE! – Air Port
