In the morning, we will come and pick you up at your Ship in Le Verdon. Meet your English speaking driver / guide who is an expert on Bordeaux Wines. Once you have met your guide, he/she will go over the program and itinerary of the day with you. Then, board your comfortable, air conditioned vehicle and begin to make your way to the Medoc wine producing region. 

Depart for the Medoc wine region

Departing from Le Verdon Cruise Port, this Bordeaux private tour will take you to some of the most famed wine producing appellations of Bordeaux. With a full day wine tasting tour in the Medoc, you’ll discover one of France’s most admired wine-growing regions. Beginners and seasoned wine connoisseurs alike will find plenty to love on this guided tour of Medoc led by local experts.

Drawing on local knowledge and a real love of wine, our knowledgeable and enthusiastic guides will fill you in on this unique and beautiful region, and you’ll discover what makes Medoc wines so special.

During this full day tour, you will visit two or three wineries in the local area, which are carefully selected Classified Growth Chateaux or Cru Bourgeois estates. This gives you a chance to gain an excellent understanding of the wines produced here, whether as an introduction to wines or to expand on your existing knowledge.

Enjoy a scenic drive along the mythical ‘Route des Chateaux’ or castle road, which is a road lined with several renowned wineries. After this, you’ll have some free time for lunch in Pauillac (at own expense).

Afternoon winery tours in the Medoc

In the afternoon, you’ll partake in 1 or 2 more Chateaux visits and tastings depending on the timing of your ship. Once you’ve been guided around the Medoc wine region and Bordeaux, you’ll gain expert knowledge of this world-renowned winemaking region.
