Course of safe movement in the mountain – winter conditions

Mountains present a challenge in the winter and special equipment is needed to conquer them: including crampons, vaccines, etc. The course allows you to gain the knowledge to use such equipment on your own, on your next, independent adventure.

The course is designed as a short tour (the exact location is determined by the weather and snow conditions, but we usually make it in Julian Alps, close to Bovec) under the guidance of mountain guide.

During the tour we will deal with the following::

- preparation for the tour,

- proper use of the snow axes on different slopes,

- proper installation and use of crampons,

- stopping with a snow axes in the event of a fall,

- demonstration of using the avalanche safety equipment (beacon, shovel, probe),

- snow stability test.

Price: 70 EUR / person minimum four registered.

We offer you experience instructors, that will take time for you and try their best that you will get the knowledge you need when hiking in the winter conditions, and still have a lot of fun in between!
