Countryside Bicycle Tour from Hoi An

This tour is about 9 km (5.5 miles) with several stops.

On the tour you will discover how wooden river boats are made, learn the secret of weaving colorful straw “Hoi An” sleeping mats. Experience our renowned Vietnamese basket boats and spend the day with first-hand contact with rural inhabitants of the region, far from the usual tourist circuits.

At lunchtime you will be invited into the home of a local Vietnamese family for a traditional Vietnamese meal, having time to learn their customs and traditions. After you have relaxed for a while under the shade of a mango tree, you will begin your return towards Hoi An, which will take about an hour by boat.

The countryside around Hoi An offers a tranquil alternative to the busy city, with its traditional villages, lush rice paddies, and scenic water ways. On this tour, set out along the Song Thu river by bike, cycle to rural villages, and ride the ferries between the river islands. Stop along the way to visit handicrafts workshops and enjoy a typical Vietnamese lunch at a local family home.
