If you did not upgrade to hotel pickup and dropoff from the central Adelaide business district, make your own way to Goolwa Wharf to meet your 16-seat boat.
Head upstream through Clayton, passing Duck's Hospital and getting up-close riverside views from a boat, with morning tea service. Pass Coorong National Park's Lake Alexandrina and through the lock at Tauwitchere Barrage, pausing for lunch at Cattle Point.
Learn about the Aboriginal Ngarrindjeri history and visit ancient midden sites, and then stop at Southern Ocean Beach or Barker's Knoll for a walk through the sand dunes. Proceed through the mighty Murray Mouth, around Hindmarsh Island, and move on to the Goolwa Barrage, where your small boat allows you to get up close with the resident New Zealand fur seals.
You return to Goolwa Wharf to either make your own way home, or if you choose the transportation upgrade, you are returned to Adelaide by coach.
