Cooking Class with Berber Family

Marrakech - Tahnaout- Asni- Imlil Valley 1740m

From Marrakech you will transfer to Imlil. Along the way you will pass through the town of Asni where you will have a chance to visit the Museum of Toubkal National Park. Once in Imlil be met by your guide who will take you around the sights of Imlil Valley. Along the way you will walk through traditional Berber Villages where you will have a chance to experience their friendly, open culture and to sample their way of life. Half way through the trek you will be able to view the highest peak , Mount Toubkal (4167 m) where you will have regular breaks allowing you to take in the awesomness of the Atlas Mountains. After roughly 2 hrs you will be taken to a traditional Gite (guesthouse) where you will be served a refreshing lunch whilst viewing the beautiful Mizane Valley,afterwards it will be a brief 1 hour descent back to Imlil where you will transfer back to Marrakech.

This trip Starts at 9am with a pick up from your accommodation, then head to the Berber market to select fresh ingredients (meat, vegetables, depending whether you would like to cook Tagine or couscous nd more of differant Moroccan food. Next, you will explore the beautiful Imlil Valley, where you will visit berber villages and waterfalls and the women cooperative (where the women make Moroccan oil and herbs).Then you will go and join a real Berber family in their

house, The cooking courses are run by Fatima and her family, an experienced Berber cook whose secret recipes have been passed down her family for generations. Your English-speaking guide, will do the translation to English and will be assisting in the course as you learn about the techniques of traditional Berber cooking,
