After a short drive you will arrive at Fairview Great House & Botanical Garden, a beautifully restored plantation house believed to have been originally built in 1701 by the French.
You will be taken to a colonial style room where you would be introduced to the chef who will guide you through the cooking demonstration recounting tales about the history of our Caribbean foods and share old and new recipes and introduce you to locally grown ingredients. Some of the participants will also have the opportunity to assist the chef in her meal preparations and the group can engage with her throughout the culinary experience. You will then partake in the delicious meal that was prepared for you infused with tantalising Caribbean flavours. You get to keep the recipe card so that you can try the recipes at home. After the meal, browse locally hand made handcrafts available for sale at the Great House gift shop and take a stroll through the historic building and take in the beautiful views of the tropical garden and beyond.
