After being picked up from your central Alanya hotel by Jeep, soak up the scenery as you leave the city and climb up into the surrounding mountains. After a short drive, make your first stop at a panoramic viewpoint overlooking the city, where you can sip tea or coffee (included) as you gaze out over Alanya and along the Mediterranean coast.
Continue through the dramatic landscapes of the Taurus Mountains and stop to get a taste of traditional mountain life as you visit a nomadic encampment (Yörük Çadırı) high in the hills. Learn more about the life and culture of the Turkoman nomadic tribes from your guide as you peek inside the tents, and enjoy free time to explore independently or take photos. The next stop is in a typical mountain village, where you’ll have another chance to interact with the locals, as you visit a Turkish family home.
Back in the Jeep, hang on tight as you head off-road and hurtle along dirt tracks, mountain passes, and muddy streams. Feel a rush of adrenaline as you pick up speed and marvel at the views as you drive into the heart of the mountains. Pause for lunch on the banks of the Obacay River, where you’ll enjoy a delicious picnic, with a choice of chicken, fish, or omelet, accompanied by cheese, salad, bread, and seasonal fruits. With your appetite sated, enjoy free time to relax by the waterfront, or dive in to cool off with a swim in the river.
On the way back to Alanya, there’s time for one final stop – at a viewpoint looking out over Cleopatra Beach – before being dropped back at your hotel.
