Make your own way to Director Park in downtown Portland where you hop on your bus, which heads toward the scenic Historic Columbia Highway.
Your first stop is Crown Point Vista House. Sitting 733 feet above the Columbia River, the overlook provides panoramic views of the Columbia River Gorge. Visit the museum before heading back to the bus, which takes you to three more waterfalls. At the Multnomah Falls Historic Lodge, stretch your legs with a short hike to the falls’ prime viewpoint, Benson Bridge.
Next up is Hood River, the windsurfing capital of the world. Watch athletes practice their craft on the water as you have free time for lunch. Then, set off on a scenic drive, culminating at Timberline Lodge, which you may recognize from the movie The Shining.
After a guided tour, load up to return to Portland where you started.
