Go to where the road ends in South America to hike to the continent's last lighthouse., and discover the unique beauty of Patagonian's fjords and channels ecosystem.

See stunning views of Mount Tarn, the Strait of Magellan and Bahia el Aguila on this easy-medium difficulty day hiking.

Drive to the Fin de Camino, the end of the road on the South American Continent, to begin your adventure. From there hike along the beaches of the legendary Strait of Magellan to reach Faro San Isidro. the southermost lighthouse on the continent. See views of the strait and with luck, see the dolphins, whales and see lions that live there.

Walk under the branches of the Temperate Sub-Antarctic rain forest and get to know the flora of this beautiful microclimate. 

Stop for lunch at the base of the lighthouse hill before turning back to head to the fin de Camino to celebrate your hiking achievement before heading back to Punta Arenas.

WAIVER OF ALL CLAIMS, RELEASE FROM LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK

I, the passenger, hereby acknowledge and agree that in my participation in adventure activities by Indomita Adventures Patagonia SpA:

1. I will not hold Indomita Adventures Patagonia SpA, its officers, directors and employees responsible for any injury, death, accident, illness, delay, personal loss, personal property damage or other loss sustained by me and hereby release Indomita Adventures Patagonia SpA, its officers, directors and employees due to any cause whatsoever, including without limitation, negligence on the part of Indomita Adventures Patagonia SpA or its employees. I further agree to indemnify Indomita Adventures Patagonia SpA and its employees for any and all legal fees (on a solicitor and his own client basis) or costs which may be incurred in defending any lawsuit or claim I may bring against them.

2. AND I DO HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

(a) I will participate in adventure activities entirely at my own risk. Participation in any outdoor activity and travel in natural, outdoor environments involve inherent risks, dangers and hazards. These risks may include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, forces of nature, weather conditions, rugged or steep terrain, avalanches, rock fall, slippery footing, water, isolation from medical facilities, difficult evacuation, equipment failure, mechanical breakdown, human error and accidents. These and other risks may cause serious injury, illness, death, personal property damage or personal losses.

(b) That this Waiver of all Claims, Release from Liability and Assumption of Risk is binding on myself, my heirs, my executors, administrators, personal representatives and assigns.

(c) That the term "adventure activities" as used in the Waiver of all Claims, Release from Liability and Assumption of Risk includes without limiting the generality of that term, training sessions, programmes and events that are in any way authorized, sanctioned, organized or operated by Indomita Adventures Patagonia SpA.

(d) I understand that by signing this release I may be forever prevented from suing or otherwise claiming against Indomita Adventures Patagonia SpA, its officers, directors and employees for certain loss or damages, whether for property loss or personal injury, that I may sustain while participating in adventure activities.

(e) I understand that the included itinerary is a general guideline of what can be expected on my adventure trip, but is NOT a contract. Factors such as weather conditions, mechanical breakdown, flight cancellations, medical emergencies, political unrest, natural disasters or other uncontrollable circumstances can alter my trip.

(f) I will not hold Indomita Adventures Patagonia SpA responsible for extra costs incurred by me which include, but are not limited to: extra meals, accommodation, personal costs, or rebooking of commercial transportation in the event of unforeseen or uncontrollable circumstances.

I confirm that I have carefully read this agreement and understand its terms as acknowledged by my signature below.

Note: All participants in your party are required to read and sign this waiver in person on the day of their service. Failure to sign this waiver will result in the nullification of your booking.

Our tours operate in all kinds of weather, including rain, cold temperatures, and high winds. For your safety and comfort, your guide may alter your itinerary, subject to availability. In the rare event that alternate routes or activities are not available, you will be refunded the full price of your tour and given the option to book an alternate date at a discount.

Can I book this private hiking tour as a shore excursion in Punta Arenas?

Do I need previous experience to come on this hike?

Previous hiking experience is not required for this beginner-friendly hiking tour in Punta Arenas. This hike takes place over 8 km (5 miles) of rocky beach, and has an elevation gain over the course of the trail of 320 metres (1050 feet). Your hike will take between 6 and 7 hours to complete, depending on trail conditions, client fitness, and interpretive moments. We recommend getting ready for your hike in Punta Arenas with brisk walks of at least one and a half hours (preferably 2 to 4 hours), stair climbs, and rambles through uneven terrain (such as in a grassy park). Being physically prepared will enhance your enjoyment and safety on the trail. On the day of your hike, your guide will offer you an alternative service if they do not feel that this hike is suitable for you.
