Cliffs of Moher Tour with Boat Cruise

The cliffs were breathtaking and Mick our driver/tour guide was excellent. Well worth the trip from Dublin

I agree with a lot of what Amanda said in a prior review (July 2026). The wifi and charging ports didn't work, so I wasn't able to work during the long drive as planned. We were supposed to stop in a fishing town on the way for lunch, but the driver (thankfully) called about our cruise tickets and was informed there was no 3 pm cruise that day, only 2 pm. You would think his manager would have already had that detail confirmed/checked on the sea conditions that morning. Perhaps we could have agreed to leave earlier or been made aware of the change in itinerary sooner. We skipped the village and lunch and didn't learn that until AFTER we stopped for a break. Thankfully, I had plenty of snacks with me since I didn't buy anything when we stopped (I probably would have gotten something else has I known it would be 530 before we stopped to eat "lunch"). I understand weather can't be controlled, but I assumed this was a relaxing way to see the Cliffs from a different perspective. Seas were EXTREMELY choppy. Multiple people inside the boat were throwing up as soon as we took off and for the duration of the ~45 min cruise. Thank God I don't get seasick, and no one else outside did, but it was awful for my tour mates sitting inside witnessing the chaos. It was one of the most intense boating experiences I've had. I still felt like I was swaying when I went to bed that night. The Cliffs were beautiful, but we weren't able to get very close, and it was too choppy to stand to get decent pictures or videos. If you are unlucky and board near the end of the line, you will either be stuck inside where you can't see anything (other than crew frantically handing out barf bags) or on the second level where you get drenched. I was very lucky to have an aisle seat outside downstairs. We stopped at a gas station for "lunch" at 530 on the way back. I have multiple food allergies, so I was concerned, but thankfully Super Mac's (surprisingly) had some delicious options. This was a very long day for a short, chaotic, disappointing experience. Although I am not a fan of early mornings, I wish I would have done the other tour that went to Galway with a traditional Cliffs tour instead. I booked this tour partially due to the stop in Liscannor, which didn't happen. Like Amanda, I don't understand how we got back so late given that we went to an earlier cruise, skipped Liscannor and made a quick stop on the way back. I did immensely appreciate my driver dropping me off prior to the main drop off spot, so I didn't have to walk back as far. Viator should update this listing to warn people with motion sickness about the severe conditions. If you decide to do this, definitely pack layers and lots of snacks.

It was a very nice tour. Our "bus driver" was very competent and friendly, and we felt very well taken care of. We learned a lot about the history of Ireland, and he ensured a great atmosphere during the long drives and always adjusted everything, e.g., when all the fellow travelers fell asleep (increased the temperature, turned the music down...). We would book this tour again anytime, especially with him as the driver.

Well worth the drive!! Just beautiful! Our driver was wonderful and witty! The coach was comfortable and air conditioned. We were able to relax and enjoy the views .

Ian is an excellent driver who made our tour safe, smooth, and enjoyable from start to finish. He's also a fantastic entertainer with a great sense of humor, sharing interesting stories and keeping everyone engaged throughout the trip. His friendly personality and professionalism made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend Ian to anyone looking for an outstanding tour guide and driver!
